Never Quite Alone

September 30, 2008

Where can I turn that You see me not? And where can I be lost so greatly that You’d not find me? For You seek me always; and I am found in You. I can turn nowhere greater, than to You. Though I walk a thousand roads, only the path toward Your heart is the right path.

That way is in Your precious Son, Christ Jesus, Savior of my soul. He alone is Messiah to the earth.
Let Satan no longer control any end of my life.Clear my way, Jesus.Reveal Your path to me in all my days. May the ruler of darkness confuse me no more; let not his hand touch me, his path corrupt me, for my refuge and my sanctuary is in Christ alone.
Jesus is my strength, my life, my heart and my King. Only He is true and perfect.
Lord, let my will be confined to Yours. Hear my humble cry. Make me clean. Keep a place for me, for I long to be home, in heaven, with You. My heart, my life, my body and soul I give to You. My love is in You, Lord. May the blessings, glory, and honor be Yours. -AMEN

Attributes of God’s Way

September 28, 2008

“The Lord God is jealous for us.
It is in His image we are made.
He sings over us in our triumphs.
He weeps for us in our failures.
He angers for our souls in our ignorance.
His will is given and shown.
Let us obey and listen and rejoice in His Name.
The way of the Lord is righteous and good.
It is merciful and just and pleasing and perfect.
To follow our own way is shameful and ignorant;
for God’s way is good.” -Justin Lessard

Look there…

September 26, 2008

All of you who are in Christ; It is you who are called to full-time ministry. How else can you cope with the constant contrast between your distress and joy?

Look back, as you will see that God has worked in you, beginning a foundation. Looking back, Jesus died on a cross for you all.

Look forward. Step out in faith, for God will not fail you. Love never fails. Plan to be with Him in each step toward the finish line; plan strategically.

Look up, focusing your gaze on Christ. As you run the race, fix your eyes on Jesus.

In all, let your prayer be the Lord’s will; not your own. For this, He has given His Holy Spirit for your joy and direction. Make for yourself a deliberate decision to change your perspectives to be fitting to Christ’s will in and through yourself.

-06/09/06 A word from the Lord given to Justin Lessard at the International House of Prayer in Kansas City, MO.

3 Words

September 26, 2008

These three musings are from a journal I kept for some years. Eventually, I planned on having it published. Maybe someday. The first is a word the Lord gave me, the other two are things I wrote in a Psalms kind of fashion. This all comes back from my early days of re-committing.

A Word from the Lord, date unknown—

Woe to you, liars and thieves.

You steal my time, people, and my hearts for yourselves.

Liars, too, who say they love me, yet know me not.

Anger me no more.

Let not your corrupt hearts taint my children.

There is no greater love than this. Indeed, no greater gift can be given. Not just that a man pure and innocent would die brutally for friends, but that He’d bear all the wrongs of all the men in the world; even those who’d refuse His Name.

This is the love God showed the world when He gave us His Son, so that we would live beyond splendorous days. While our hearts are broken from all we have lost, that man lost all of life for us, and we have all to gain. Through the power and grace of God, that man, called Christ Jesus, rose from death and lives eternally still.

You have heard Scripture regarding Christ and it is truth. The miraculous love therein changes everything it touches, and it has touched all things. It takes away loneliness, and gives new life to all who will accept it and believe. To those who will not believe; they are as a carpenter with no wood and no tools, with no place to gain. To those willing; let His love be as a consuming passion that burns within your hearts.

The very same God who controls the oceans, and who names the stars, gave His only Son for you, and formed you in His very image. While the dead have not breath, you can have new life. Christ is life. He is truth; He is the way, the only way.

–Justin Lessard —

I am a man, tired and weak. I’ve no strength of my own left. I am like a child, scared and alone, in need of someone to save me; a savior. I am alone and I am lost.

When I am ready to collapse, ready to give up, do not, for my sake and yours, tell me to hold on, and not to give up. For what I must do is surrender it all to God and rely on the love and strength of the One who already suffered my transgressions. I must put into the hands of Christ my own life. And I must fall on this truth: that is was also I who held Jesus on the cross, as much with my sins as the very nails driven into His precious flesh.

And to what length His love reaches; to all ends! Halleluiah! Even I, who crucified Him, am loved as though I were His only son; immeasurable love! In this He alone, my God and my Savior, is worthy to be worshipped. I am even unworthy of His presence, yet He calls me into it, to make it home.

Arise! And see the glory! Praise the Name of the Lord God! His love covers you and me. Stand not in the way of what will bring me closer to His place, which He has willed me. His love will take you in, no matter what the circumstance.

Bless, now, the Lord, who crowns with glory, who loves the least as much as the most, the Shepherd who rules the world with His strong arm. The Lord God is eternal; He is hope; He is love; He is the first, and will be the last. The Lord is victorious in His love. Sing praise to God! All glory to God, forever and ever! Amen!
